Here’s a natural phenomenon that the producers of ABC’s The Bachelor franchise became aware of and use to fast track love: Have promising couples bungee jump or skydive together, and they will very likely fall in love (or infatuation, at least). Sure enough, the moment the pair tandem plummets from a skyscraper in an extreme free fall or hits the open road in a convertible, the adrenaline and hormones flow, and so does the love connection. Afterwards, while holding each other in an exhilarated embrace, they proclaim, “If we can do that, then we can do anything together!” Well, all right, perhaps a wind-driven adventure can’t keep romance going, forever, but it sure can propel the lovebirds to the next level for eight to nine weeks of filming.
What’s the matchmaker magic? The secret for excitement is in the wind. Wind stimulates adrenaline, gets your heart beating faster, can bond you to someone who’s participating in the same activity, or can most definitely help you out of a funk or emotional rut.
Do you sometimes feel like you’re just going through the motions of taking care of your daily tasks, yet you’re not feeling fulfilled? You can feel melancholy just from being in a state of boredom for too long. And by the way, you can be bored and quite busy at the very same time. Fulfillment comes with following and actualizing your life’s true purpose. Tall order, right? If you don’t know where to start, no worries. All you need to do is to get on the same level with what you want: raise your vibrational energy. Small steps can help you to get out of boredom and enroute to purpose, and ultimately to fulfillment.
So, what can you do today for more joy and excitement? Nature has four gifts to maximize your good energy: earth, wind, fire, and water. Of these four, wind holds the secret for excitement—and excitement is the antidote to boredom and indifference. Naturally, you’ve felt it for yourself. Wind is uplifting, it gives you energy, and it excites and motivates. Feel the wind on your face and in your hair. Just try it! Go for a ride on a bike, horseback, motorcycle, or visit a fair or carnival or theme park. Take a long drive with the top or windows down. Skydive, sail, paraglide, parasail, ski, run, skate. On a windy day, sit on a dock or a cliff or at the top of a hill and feel goosebumps of excitement. Do it on your own, with a friend, or your significant other. Make it a regular activity to feel the natural element of wind. Open up the windows of your house; get flesh air in and flush out stagnation. (Remember, energy must circulate or it will stagnate.) You will begin to pull yourself up and out of boredom, indifference, or stagnation—and into the flow of all that you truly desire.
You can build your own creation energy, out of thin air. Try this energy building technique. Find a quiet spot outside, in a natural environment. This can be in a forest, on a wooded bike path, at the beach, or in your own backyard. We carry a great deal of stagnant and heavy energy due to chronic exposure to non-living environments, and so the more natural your surroundings, the better this works. Stand in a comfortable position, with your legs apart about as much as the width of your shoulders. Outstretch your arms to your sides, and begin to move them in wide circles, from the front to back and around to your front again. Get a nice, slow, rhythm going and make large open circles in the air. Now, close your eyes and continue your circles at the same easy pace. Imagine that your arms are gathering energy like large paper cones collecting cotton candy. As you are in motion, you are collecting bigger and fluffier balls of light energy. Every so often, swoop your arms over your head and shoulders, moving a wave of light energy over you and engulfing your entire body. Notice the birds chirp, the sun on your face, and the gentle breeze that you are creating as you generate and gather energy. Do this for as long as you want, I recommend at least 10 minutes, and do it as often as you like. This practice builds your good light presence, and supercharges your mindset, soulset, and creation energy.
